Whilst everyone is entitled to a free assessment through their local council, these can often be subject to delays. Adult social care arranged via the council is also means tested, meaning you may ultimately be required to meet the full cost of any recommended support — and some local authorities will additionally charge an arrangement fee for organising services on your behalf.

Choosing an independent social worker gives you greater control over the process.  We are particularly experienced in providing discreet, sensitive support for high-profile individuals for whom privacy is paramount.

 Sumayya is trained in both the Parent Assessment Manual (PAMs) and Parent Assess methodologies, with extensive experience completing specialist parenting assessments for local authorities, courts, and family assessment units. She also brings several years of experience as a learning disability social worker, giving her a depth of expertise that enriches her assessment practice.
