Sumayya Hanson is a social worker and qualified teacher with 20 years of experience. She became a BIA in 2014 and first managed a DoLS Team in 2015. Delivered from 10 am until 4 pm via Microsoft Teams, this is an online session. There will be a 1-hour break for lunch and a short afternoon break. After attending the training, delegates will be sent a certificate of attendance by email.
Anyone acting as an Authorised DoLS Signatory needs to be adequately trained in carrying out this important role. The training will also be relevant to anyone with a role in quality assuring DoLS Assessments.
Once booked on, you will be emailed about payment. We understand that many public sector organisations prefer to receive an invoice. We ask that payment is made in advance to ensure that you are reserved a place on the training.
The training will include some interaction with delegates. This helps us to measure the learning and makes the day more enriching for all. It is better if you can have your camera on if possible.
If an organisation books 5 people onto the same session, they can get an additional place for free!
